A TORTOISE AND A RABBIT
Once upon a time, there lived two friends in the jungle, the rabbit and the tortoise. The jungle community of great King Lion organised a race and called upon all the members to participate. The rabbit and the tortoise went to play hide and seek in the bush, and they got into an argument about who will be the sole winner of their race. The tortoise claimed it was winning but the rabbit fell into laughters and assured the tortoise that the dream will never come true. The rabbit explained to the tortoise about how slow it is and that there is no need for the race because it was winning it without any struggle.
At the start line and when the whistle was blown, they took off, the tortoise struggling but the rabbit taking off very fast, every animal cheered for the rabbit and admired the speed. The tortoise struggled slowing behind it, after one hundred meters of the race, the rabbit slept on the way. It took two hours asleep and the tortoise overtook it.
By the time the rabbit woke up, the tortoise was crossing the finishing line and the rabbit had to believe what it was seeing, the tortoise emerged victorious.
Lessons learnt
1. Always be the best of yourselves because you can not tell what is likely to happen because success comes only to those who are ready to endure.
2. Do not give up despite the weaknesses you may have. The tortoise did not listen to what the rabbit said but focused on the outcome of the race.
3. Believe in yourselves and others too. The rabbit did not believe in the tortoise and so it had to see dreams come to pass. I believe that to be successful, we can not compromise the success of other people because it is their ideas and strengths that will always lift us up.
