THE LIFE AT UNIVERSITY.
This might be interesting and I know there are many questions currently running through your minds on this subject. The university is a heaven for a student who has finished high school but this statement does not really make sense in some context. This will be clearly explained as you read through this article.
Before joining university, a student will load a lot of good things including clothes and shoes. This is done basing on news received about life at university and in that case parents are ready to spend a lot of money. The first two weeks at the university is usually meant to acquaint students with university life which includes teaching them how to associate and fit in their new environment. This job is done by both religious and non religious bodies all sponsored by the university administration. Take an example of makerere university where we have orientations from catholic and anglican churches which are within the university premises.
The student can either get an accommodation with the university or can rent outside. For example, I made a decision to rent outside the university premises in an area called Kikoni. I feel comfortable and the other thing is that we have to move long distances climbing Makerere hill every morning before we reach our lecture rooms. This is interesting in cold weather but when it is sunny, the sweat that oozes out of our skins is unbearable.
There is always entertainment and one can get it at anytime depending on what one came to do. The ones that love sports will flood the university peach every evening and the ones that love drinking will not hesitate to reach the bar. All these activities are available for the fan makers. I, personally love soccer. I support Arsenal and love each time they play. I also move to the football ground every weekend to flex my muscles. To have a cool day, I follow this activity with a cold shower.
Though the other part of life is dodged by most students and is the most serious of all, lectures. The students who attend lectures and do their course work in time always have less leisure time and always concentrate on their books. The lazy ones are always loitering everywhere and it is hard to see them carry any book. As a concern student, let us all read our books and excel in our academics.
