WHO IS A GOD FEARING MAN
This is quite interesting though. A God fearing man is not the one who goes to church every Sunday. But rather basing on my perspective, a God fearing man is judged according to how he/she behaves and interacts with the living and non living things in the environment. "What do you mean by living and non living things". Living things include humans and the other animals in the environment while non living things include the tools and food we have in our everyday life.
Therefore, a God fearing man is one who is always available for the people living in a given society, he/she is ready to serve them unconditionally and provide them with their basic needs like food, water and even clothing. A very good example is a father and mother who are ready to look after their children faithfully and avail them with opportunities to survive in life. Good parents will send their children to school and teach them how to make a living out of school.
Looking at this on a community basis, taking up a leadership position and faithfully serving makes one God fearing. Take an example of a member of parliament who has constructed many roads in his state and willingly delivers government offers to the community like borehole drilling for water supply. These leaders are few though and are believed to be chosen by God and if you can act the right way when entrusted with political powers, then you will make a great leader.
Looking at the church, Pastors who put up churches to serve God make good leaders. Though today, many churches have been put up as a source of income and only 10% are built to serve God. Then where is the world going. To be God fearing, we do not need to mix God with money because church leaders need to work hard outside church to make a living. Though if the money people collect in church is used to support the weak and sick in the community, then my argument holds only for the selfish minded church leaders. Thanks!
Looking at the tools and food in the community, a God fearing man will stay away from harmful weapons like guns and will make sure he/she does not use them at all if possible. They do not get involved in any form fraud and stay clear of alcohol and drug abuse. These are the non living things I have been emphasizing above.
