Travel to Uganda and feel the life
Uganda is a small country in Africa located in the east, many wonder why it is a good idea to visit it and why it is called the pearl of Africa and the home of nature. You will find out as you read through and do not forget to follow my blog for future stories.
This small country which is the home of the Bantu and the Luo is rich in beautiful land forms such as hills and mountain ranges. In the east, we have Mount Elgon which is a volcanic mountain covering the Sebei and Bugisu region. This has steep slopes and surprisingly, most inhabitants prefer to settle at the slopes because of the fertile volcanic soils which favor coffee growth. There is a water fall, Sipi found along the Mbale-Kapchorwa road which has a nice residential hotel for your accommodation. The rapidly flashing water from the slope of the mountain catches your attention from a far distance. Sipi falls is one of the water falls in Uganda to visit, it has clean and blue water.
In the West, we have the Rwenzori ranges, a block mountain which lies in the Western arm of the East African rift system. This mountain borders Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. In Uganda, it stretches through Kasese and Bundibugyo district. There are other areas to visit in the Rwenzori which include hot springs and national parks. The hot springs are Kitagata and Sempaya which are highly mineralized with sulfur a cure for skin diseases. The roads to these tourism sites are tarmac and you will always find a guide who will brief you on the history of the area and give you the necessary protective gears like boots because some places are really muddy. We even had to boil eggs on our visit at Sempaya hot spring and we did not need salt because the water is already salty.
In central Uganda, there is a mother lake, victoria which forms the source of the longest river in the world (River Nile). Lake victoria stretches through the districts of Kampala, Mukono, Masaka, Entebbe and many others. In Entebbe, it forms a series of beaches like Aero beach which is the best of all. At Aero beach, you enjoy fish and the DJ will not forget to entice you with the best music from all over the world. There are also beautiful Statues of Queen Elizabeth and the former president of the United states of America Barack Obama and his family. This is just a few but will update you with more information.
